The Westmont Chamber of Commerce Educational Foundation (WCCEF), is a not-for-profit, charitable organization with a mission to provide recognition and scholarships to area students. The WCCEF uses a formal criteria and selection process to award the scholarships.
It is managed and supported by the Education and Awards Committee of the Westmont Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau. |

Donations to the Westmont Chamber of Commerce Educational Foundation are tax deductible. Please consult your tax advisor.
Recipients of the WCCEF scholarship will be high school seniors who are residents of the Village of Westmont or who are children of members of the Westmont Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau.
Scholarships are awarded in $500 and $1,000 amounts.
Additional scholarships may be funded by Chamber members.
The criteria for all scholarships:
Student maintains a minimum 2.75 grade point average.
- Student is/has been actively involved in school and/or extra curricular
- Student will be attending an accredited university, college or trade school within 6 months of graduation.
- Financial need is not a criterion.
The Westmont Chamber of Commerce Educational Foundation will select finalists and interview each before making the final decision regarding who shall receive the scholarships.
The Westmont Chamber of Commerce Educational Foundation will notify applicants of the decision.
The deadline for 2024 scholarship applications is March 8, 2024.

2024 Public Safety Scholarship
The Village of Westmont is an Illinois Municipal Corporation. Together with the Westmont Chamber of Commerce Educational Foundation (WCCEF), a shared mission to provide recognition and scholarships to area students and residents with interest in careers in Public Safety and Public Works has been created. The Matthew W. Heiden Public Safety Scholarship is maintained in honor of Matthew Heiden, who lost his life in a workplace accident serving the community in the Westmont Public Works Department.
The WCCEF administers the scholarship for the Village of Westmont and uses a formal criteria and selection process to award this scholarship. The criteria for this scholarship will include:
- Local Students, (in order of preference)
- Local high school seniors
- Local residents
- Local public employees (Westmont, Park District, School District, Township, County, etc.) pursuing an education or training in public safety, public works, or construction safety careers.
- Scholarship awards up to $2000 per each satisfied applicant, and up to $6000 annually. (Three awards possible).
- Student will be attending an accredited curriculum at university, college, or trade school within six months of graduation.
- Enrollment fees (100%) in any Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) Certification or Credential, funds remaining.
- Registration costs (100%) for any American Public Works Association (APWA), American Water Works Association, or OSHA conferences or training. opportunities in Illinois can be considered, funds remaining
- Financial need is not a criterion.
The WCCEF will select finalists to interview before making final award decisions. Scholarship applications and supporting documents must be returned by the published deadline each year.

Meilie's Taiwanese Kitchen Cookbook
We are happy to announce that Meilie Tsai, Westmont Chamber Board Director, has written easy to follow recipes of some of her favorite dishes in a new full-color, 89 paged cookbook written in English and Chinese! This is a beautiful cookbook to read and as an added bonus, you can follow along with videos of each recipe! Meilie has generously offered the sale of her cookbook as a fundraiser for the Westmont Chamber Educational Foundation. Proceeds from the sale of a limited number of copies will be donated to the scholarship fund for local students. Copies of the cookbook are available for purchase at the Westmont Chamber office for $35. You can also purchase them online (via the link below) and then pick up your copy from the Westmont Chamber office (One South Cass Ave. Suite 101, Westmont).
